The subconscious protects us from too much change
Today we were discussing how the subconscious protects you, by keeping certain painful moments from being remembered. They say that Jackie Kennedy didn't remember going out on the trunk of the car, even when seeing the footage of it, after her husband's assassination. Her subconscious protected her. It was just too painful. Also, the converse is true, that we cannot suddenly live a life of miracles or wonderment because we can't take it without subconscious preparation to get us to the point of accepting it. Here is a clip about that topic, by a movie producer, Barnet Bain, and a healing arts person, Freeman Michaels as they discuss the inner resistance of too much change.
