Were your pets hurt in the fireworks?

This is my Christmas gift from a friend who knew that I need a dog of my own, so she made Buttons. He is the only dog I know of that wasn't hurt by the fireworks this year. That kid of abuse is classified as an aggravated misdemeanor yet is under the guise of fun; as if the participants mumbled, well it's the only fun we have. Think about it. It infuriates me, the selfish disregard for all things living, pets and people. PTSD is not limited to humans. Be kind to your pets.

He gestured the hand motion to say, don't push it away, bring it close. Whatever it is, anger, confusion, fear, mostly loss, and bring it close and feel it and sit with it and then when you are fully absorbed you find that you didn't die from it. Only pushing it away intensifies it. The opposite happens when you bring it near. Cherish the thought of it. Know that you own it, the good and bad of it. Know that you yourself are the good and bad of everything you encounter internally...you have it all. In that, you are truly fully human, fully alive. Then drink some water, and go on with your day. Your brain will thank you!
